  • I am leaving Saturday to fly to California with Beth and Maggie. Mr. Tom is in Louisiana and Texas visiting his kids and grandkids. I thought I would have soooooo much time this week to clean house and get ready to go.

Today, I was going to have breakfast with Jonathan (in town to say goodbye to Pooky (Beth), Steven and Maggie. Then I was going to go see my mother, get her bathed and take her with me to the Country Store at Callaway Gardens. My friends, the Sweetgum, were going to get together and say goodbye to Beth.

    So did that happen?  Noooooooooo.

I woke up with a kidney infection!!!!!!!!  I had to run to the Clark-Holder-Clinic, leave a pee sample and then run back for a prescription.

I made the lunch (without my mother) and felt like CRAP the whole time.

Has anybody ever had a kidney infection before. Is my back supposed to be having spasms?

Now, I can't keep Maggie tonight because I feel like CRAP!!!

I have to do all my cleaning, etc. on Wednesday and Thursday. I guess I'll get a hangnail and won't be able to.

  • HARRY POTTER

Wow! Jody and I went to Kroger at 11:30 last night. There were a bunch of nerds waiting around for the new Harry Potter book. I'm glad I'm not one of those. I'm a cool person who wanted to read it.

At midnight (and not a minute before) they brought the books up to the register and the nerds quickly got in line. Jody and I went along with the crowd. She had twizzlers and I had Ritz and caffeine-free Cokes.

As soon as we paid, we race for the car and she read to me as I drove her home.

I got home about 12:20 -- settled in with my new book and read all night. I finished at 8:12 this morning. It was the best Harry Potter book ever.

Mr. Tom is reading it now. I'll re-read it when he gets through.

Brandy: I saw your comment. Of course I remember you. How are your cute kids?  I quit working at the paper in April and enrolled in the MAT program at LaGrange College. I am studying to get my masters in teaching. I want to teach high school English. I'll be through with the program next summer. This fall I am taking a long-term sub position at a private school for a teacher that will be on maternity leave.

In two weeks, I am flying to California with Beth and Maggie. I have a big surprise for Maggie ---a tape recorder!  She has been talking about getting one for months. I ordered it today. Then she can send me tapes and I can send her tapes. YIPPIE SKIPPY.

OK -- for some random reason, my Xanga head thing showed the name David Duchovny a little while ago. I got very excited because I had a BIG OL' crush on him during the X-Files Days. I clicked on the link and my former heart throb is starring in a Showtime series call Californicate or something like that. YUCK. Why, oh why does he want to be in something that yucky.  David Duchovny -- why don't you love me?

Yes, Brandy, Mr. Tom and I still live in our house but it's not so cute. It needs so much work and we are OLD and tired. Mr. Tom was under the house today putting in some new copper tubing.  We need to redo our bathroom.

Oh well, I have to go get ready to go to the airport and pick up my spend-the-night company.

  • I have been fooling with my Xanga site for an hour. Everytime I change the look and save it -- it stays the same!  WAHHH! I want to be cool.
  • School's out for summer

I just finished my final in technology and now I am waiting for my end of course assessment.

In the beginning, we took a pre-assessment test to see how much we knew about Word, PowerPoint, Excell, Access, etc. Now, we are going to see how much we learned about it. This test is not for a grade -- it's just so they will know if this class is effective.

THEN, I'm going home!  Yeah! Yeah!

Maggie (and Beth and Steven) comes home from Ohio tomorrow. I hope Maggie will spend the night with Memaw.
